The Heroines

Mary Diane DeBroeck

is honored with a Brick from James E. DeBroeck.

As for all the heroines being honored by this plaza, there are not enough words to describe the impact they have had on our lives. This is true for my heroine, Mary Diane DeBroeck.

Mary Diane was a devoted wife, mother and teacher. She influenced hundreds of individuals in her short 46 years on this earth. No school could have asked for a better teacher, no husband could have deserved a better wife and no child could have been loved by a better mother. She was my mother for 12 years in this world and will be my mother in heaven for all of eternity.

She was strong, caring, driven and compassionate all at the same time. She provided me the example that I needed to become the man I am today and will be in the future. She was often an inspiration to me as I worked through my education. That was why I felt it fitting to honor her in this plaza. Without my mother, I would not have made it. She taught me how to learn, to pray and to love.

Thank you, Mother.
