Tara Mathur
is honored with a Brick from Treva Mathur
Tara Mathur has lived out her commitment to the poor and marginalized since one year after her graduation from college in 1991. She first volunteered several years, both in Washington, D.C. and El Salvador, where she worked in ways that support the improvement of the lives of the Salvadoran people in both countries. She has been active in the areas of worker’s rights, sale outlets for artisans, and creative activities for youth. She currently lives in San Salvador doing translations, graphics and leading delegations of visitors to El Salvador to broaden their understanding of the country, its people and politics.
