Jane Bicket Brock

1918-1990

Jane Bicket Brock was an active volunteer in the Wichita community prior to a 1961 divorce that left her in financial difficulty. Without any marketable job skills or child support, she managed, in her words, "to keep afloat" and raise the three of her four daughters that were still at home.

She always kept her sense of humor in spite of the challenges life placed in her way. Tara Elliott Swisher remembers her beloved grandmother as always being able to make those around her feel warm and happy. She could make the dullest situation fun and exciting.
