is honored with a Brick from Kenneth and Katherine Camarco, Robert Danek, and Stephen and Jenny Danek.
Growing up, we constantly struggled with the rules and boundaries our mother placed upon us. Quite literally, we felt like baby birds whose wings had been clipped. We remember continually challenging and questioning our mother's actions - early curfews and bedtimes, no TV, time set aside for being with family, punishments for things we thought were unfair, the push for good grades in school, and the need for God in our lives.
Now that we are adults, and some of us have families of our own, we realize the precious gift of nurturing our "mother bird" gave to us. She was teaching us discipline, trust, respect, the importance of religion, the value of a good education, and the need for family values and morals. As birds ready to fly from the nest, our mother's valuable lessons taught us to spread our wings, believe in ourselves, strive to be the best people we can be, and share these lessons of love with our spouses while passing them on to our own "little birds."
