Mary E. Blowers

Mary Elizabeth Kindrick Blowers was born on July 26, 1917 in McAlester, Oklahoma. She later moved to Seymore, Missouri where she lived most of her childhood. She attended Drury College, taught grade school, and is an accomplished pianist. She married Edward Gamble Blowers in September, 1937. Together they lived in Missouri, Oklahoma, and finally settled in the Wichita area. She has one sister, three children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren:
Sister: Hazel Kindrick Lunsford (living in Springfield, Missouri).
Children: Sally Blowers Muma (living in Houston, Texas); George Blowers (living in Springfield, Missouri); and Kathy Blowers Richard (living in Tempe, Arizona).
Grandchildren: Jayne Muma Clark (living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana); Richard Muma (living in Wichita, Kansas); Lara Muma (living in Iowa City, Iowa); Kristen Richard (living in Tempe, Arizona); and Lance Richard (living in Tempe, Arizona).
Great-Grandchildren: Ryan Clark (living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana) and Taylor Clark (living in Baton Rouge, Louisiana).
Mary was employed at Wichita State University, first in the library, then as the secretary in the Department of Philosophy. She retired in June 1982 and now resides in Mesa, Arizona.
